MEET OUR STAFF
MITCH : General Manager
Originally from England, Mitch relocated to the United States in 2005 and has since forged a successful career with over a decade of experience managing stores at CarMax. With a deep passion for the automotive industry, Mitch earned a reputation of having a strong work ethic. His natural leadership, his expertise in delivering exceptional customer experiences and his background in developing team members made Mitch an excellent addition to our team.
Outside of work, he enjoys the great outdoors, frequently hiking, biking, and off-roading in search of new adventures. Whether he's immersed in the automotive world or exploring nature, Mitch combines a love for discovery with a relentless commitment to excellence.
Ron : Service Advisor
Ron has been working in the automotive industry since 2009, but he was raised around vehicles as his family has been in the industry since the 1950s. After spending several years early in his career in an inside sales position, Ron worked as a technician for around a decade and then transitioned into a service advisor role. Ron’s upbeat, friendly personality is infectious and he loves to help clients feel empowered and uplifted.
Outside of work, Ron is currently enrolled in college to complete his degree in business management. He is a member of a car club that has been around since 1956 and he also enjoys playing disc golf, BBQing, & spending time with his wife.
Keith U : Service Advisor
Keith is an integral part of the Avalon team as a Client Care specialist. His role is very diverse and includes detailing client vehicles, taking care of our facility, giving clients rides, picking up parts and just being a supporter for any team member’s needs. In 2020, Keith won the STRIPE award for best exemplifying our company’s values, and that spans across all of the Avalon and Urban Autocare staff and locations.
Outside of work, Keith enjoys the mountains, playing video games, and spending time with family.
KEITH A : shop foreman
Keith has many years of dealership experience with Audi and BMW and he was also a Senior Technician and leader at Tesla for 4 years. Not only does he hold many certifications that include Electric, Hybrid, and Diesel vehicles, he also has a strong reputation in the industry as an expert diagnostician. Keith has been a close acquaintance of our team for many years and we are delighted to have him on board as a high-character and highly competent leader in the shop.
In his spare time Keith enjoys vacations at tropical destinations and playing frisbee golf.
Jose : Technician
Jose started at Avalon 2016 and possesses an automotive technology degree from Picken's Technical College in Aurora, CO. After spending two years in a local dealership, Jose joined our team and has quickly progressed to a fantastic technician. He can do it all! He comes to work every day with a great attitude and positive outlook and commits himself to getting each vehicle fixed right the first time. Outside of work, Jose enjoys soccer, tending to his horses and spending time with his family.
Zach : Technician
Zach attended Lincoln Tech and studied diesel technology. He spent the first several years of his technician career working on all makes and models at an independent auto service company in the Denver area, and then spent a year at a German import specialty shop prior to making the move to Avalon Motorsports. Zach is efficient and exhibits extremely high quality in his work, making him a perfect fit for our team.
Zach enjoys going to the gym, fly fishing, and spending time with family outside of work.
Cooper : TECHNICIAN
BRITT : Director of Personnel
Britt is originally from Florida, with a Texas background, and now calls Colorado home. She brings years of experience in the food, beverage, and hospitality industry, where she developed a strong foundation in management and team leadership. After closing that chapter, Britt embraced a new opportunity as our Operations Coordinator, ultimately leading to her position as the Director of Personnel. She possesses strong organizational skills, a positive attitude, amazing artistic skills, and a people-first approach to leadership and team development.
Outside of work, she enjoys birdwatching with her husband, exploring the mountains, and spending time immersed in nature. She loves traveling, going to concerts, and creating art in her free time.
Brian Sump : President
Brian is a Denver native and retired pro football player who spent four years studying Civil Engineering and Business at the Colorado School of Mines. He developed a love for German cars after tuning his first VW in high school and his passion for the niche continues to grow. Brian co-pastors a Christian church in Westminster, CO in his spare time and attributes his success to God's calling to be a light in the marketplace.
Brian is very well versed in German automobiles. He became the owner of Avalon Motorsports in February 2007 after spending several months prior to that working in the company. His burning passion to transform the automotive industry through innovation and training and his relentless pursuit for perfection makes it easy to see that he is an avid enthusiast at heart.
